Argos Banking Gateway is a personal technical tool. It is not a bank, payment service, accounting service or financial adviser.
1. Scope
These terms govern the use of Argos Banking Gateway, a private and non-commercial application used exclusively by its owner to retrieve and review information from bank accounts owned or controlled by that same person.
2. Permitted use
The application may be used to display balances, synchronise transactions, search, filter, categorise and summarise account information.
3. Read-only limitation
The application does not initiate payments, bank transfers, direct debits or other account operations. Any future payment capability would require separate terms, safeguards and explicit implementation.
4. Third-party services
The application may depend on banks, regulated open-banking providers, hosting providers and other infrastructure. Their own terms, privacy policies, availability and technical limitations also apply.
5. Accuracy and availability
Balances and transactions may be delayed, incomplete, duplicated, temporarily unavailable or formatted differently by the connected bank or open-banking provider. The application's local records should not be treated as a legally authoritative bank statement.
6. No financial advice
Summaries, categories, filters and automated interpretations are informational only. They do not constitute financial, tax, accounting or legal advice.
7. Security responsibilities
The operator is responsible for protecting local devices, private keys, environment variables and access credentials. Secrets must not be committed to public repositories or shared with untrusted parties.
8. Revocation and termination
The banking connection may be revoked at any time through the bank or the open-banking provider. The application may also stop operating if required services are unavailable or access is withdrawn.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the application is provided for personal use without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability or error-free data. Important financial decisions should be confirmed against the official bank interface or bank statement.
10. Changes
These terms may be updated when the application's scope or technical dependencies change. The latest revision date appears at the top of this page.
